There are several manufactures of slow cookers on the market today. One of the brands that is gaining in popularity is the All Clad Slow Cooker. In this article I will review a couple of models that I have tried and will post some other reviews from actual users.
One of the most important things about a crock pot is how hot it cooks. There are some slow cookers that even on the lowest setting will cook too hot and burn the food. The first thing I test on a slow cooker is how hot the unit cooks. From the All Clad Slow Cooker I have used, it passed this test with flying colors. I also found that the seal on the lids I have tested is also very good which keeps moisture in. Many crock pots suffer from this flaw and allow steam to escape so make sure that you get a unit with a properly fitting lid.
The All Clad Slow Cooker is extremely well built and stylish. Cost wise it is a little higher priced than some other brands but from what I have seen and heard from other users, it is worth it. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for. I have included some reviews below from actual users of all clad slow cookers.
User Reviews
“I paid about $100 for my All Clad crock pot and am very pleased with it. I have had no problems at all and it has cooked everything great!”
“I have spent a lot of time to find a slow cooker that actually does not leak steam. The All Clad slow cooker that I bought is the only one that does not have this problem. The lid fits perfectly in the grooves and makes a nice seal. Mine is also programmable and I love the simple settings and ease of use. I throw everything in in the morning and have a great meal when I get home”
“Mine cracked but I have filed a claim with my warranty so we will see how that is resolved. The crock pot worked great though when I did use it”
